Urban Apeel Smoothie Bar - Moose Jaw, SK

A DELICIOUS LUNCH ON THE FLY!

Value - Fresh fruit, real chicken breast, focaccia bread, great value for real food. Costs about the same as McDonalds with NO FILLER!

Menu Selection - Variety of smoothies, bubble teas, wraps, and focaccia bread panini style sandwiches.

Food - Food is freshly prepared in front of you while you wait. The food is excellent and served hot. I personally recommend the Bacon, Chicken, Ranch sandwich on focaccia bread. It is divine and practically melts in your mouth!

Service - Staffed by a chipper group of young adults. The staff are competent, quick, and exceptionally friendly. Expect to wait about 10-15 minutes for your food. Everything is hand prepared and takes a little while, but is definitely worth the wait.

Atmosphere - The restaurant is trendy and bright with a couple comfy leather chairs as well as a few tables and chairs. This establishment is fairly small, but that is perfectly fine as most of their orders are "to go" anyway.

Average Price for meal - Around $10 for a wrap/sandwich and smoothie

My 2 Cents - This is one place that I return to again and again. They were having problems with their focaccia bread supplier in the past (mid summer) and at times did not have it available. However, I believe this problem has been taken care of as I have not run into it again.

If you are not a smoothie connoisseur, you may find the menu boards to be a little bit confusing. They do add "kicks" to the smoothies such as ginko for memory. If you don't understand, just ask the staff, they will be more than willing to advise you when necessary.

I recommend: Chicken Bacon Ranch Sandwich on focaccia bread with a Keep It Simple smoothie.

The Copper Kettle - Regina, SK

Value - Very good value on pasta dishes, enough to take home left overs.

Menu Selection - A nice variety of Greek style meals with pizza, north American, vegetarian, and vegan dishes offered as well.

Food - Today I had the chicken fettuccine alfredo and it was well prepared and served hot. The sauce rich, creamy and buttery, most likely made from scratch. The meal came with garlic toast (a must) and was served with deep fried fettuccine noodles as garnish, which was interesting. The chicken breast was well seasoned and flavorful.

Service - We were having an early supper at around quarter to five that night. When we first entered the restaurant the host was speaking on the telephone and took about 5 minutes before we were actually seated. Once seated however, the service was excellent but not overbearing. Our food was served within about 15 minutes of ordering. Overall I was quite pleased with the service.

Atmosphere - The restaurant is clean and casual. The chairs are wooden and a little uncomfortable. I would not recommend this establishment for a long business meeting or cozy romantic dinner as the dining area hosts only tables and chairs within one large room with no partitions. There are large sunny windows in the dining area which allow guests to gaze upon Victoria park which is rather picturesque during the summer (a great feature if one is in the company of a rather dull dinner date).

Average Price for meal - Around $20-$25 including beverage

My 2 Cents - It would be pleasing if this establishment had booths because it would make things more private. However, the food and service was so excellent that I definitely will be back again.
